David Borza was raised in a family where hospitality and construction were simply part of everyday life. With parents who owned both restaurants and a construction company, he learned early that true luxury is not only about what you build — it’s about how people feel when they walk through the door. That belief remains the foundation of his work today.
Before graduating high school, David had already stepped into hotel management. After relocating to Tulsa, Oklahoma, he served as Director of Catering, where he developed the discipline, attention to detail, and client-first mindset that continues to define his approach today. His entrepreneurial path soon led him into business ownership and partnership roles, sharpening both his leadership and design sensibilities.
While those roles were formative, they ultimately confirmed his desire to build something more personal — a business rooted in craftsmanship, relationships, and long-term trust rather than corporate structure alone.
When his family relocated to Florida, David followed, and soon after felt drawn back to construction.
Beginning with hurricane shutter installation, he expanded into broader residential services and quickly earned opportunities to work on homes in Boca Grande. It was there, among exceptional properties and discerning clients, that his passion for high-end custom homes fully took hold.
David later joined Safety Harbor Builders, partnering with owner David Benner for 13 years. Together they built a reputation for integrity, craftsmanship, and a deeply personal approach to client service, while planning a future transition of leadership.
After David Benner’s untimely passing, David Borza chose to carry those values forward by founding Silver King Custom Homes.
Today, Silver King is built on a simple philosophy: deliver an extraordinary building experience, execute with precision, and create homes that endure beautifully for generations.
